This recipe uses jowar flour, a gluten-free grain that is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and jaggery, a natural sweetener that is loaded with iron and other essential minerals. This simple and easy-to-make recipe is perfect for anyone who wants to enhance their health and immunity.

Ingredients :

  • Jowar flour - 2 cups

  • Water - 3 cups

  • Jaggery - 1 cup

  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

  • Ghee - 2 tbsp

  • Salt - a pinch


Directions:
  1. Take a large mixing bowl and add jowar flour and salt. Mix well.

  2. Boil water in a pan and add it to the mixing bowl slowly. Keep stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

  3. Knead the dough well until it is smooth and pliable.

  4. Heat a pan and add ghee.

  5. Add cardamom powder and stir well.

  6. Add the jaggery and let it melt. Keep stirring continuously until it forms a syrup-like consistency.

  7. Turn off the heat and let the jaggery syrup cool down.

  8. Divide the dough into small portions and make small balls.

  9. Flatten the dough ball and place a small portion of the jaggery syrup in the center.

  10. Close the edges and shape it into a ball again.

  11. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.

  12. Place the prepared kudumulu in a steamer and steam them for 10-12 minutes.

  13. Remove the kudumulu from the steamer and serve them hot.
